Over the years we’ve worked hard to minimise the impact that our business has on the environment. For our ongoing commitment to maintaining an environmentally friendly, energy efficient and ethical company, we have received a long list of prestigious and competitive awards.
Sunday Times Best Green Company
We were named Sunday Times Best Green Company in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 in recognition of our ethical credentials and ongoing commitment to the environment. This award recognises measurable changes in energy consumption, waste and recycling. The extent to which our workforce has been involved in our drive to reduce pollution and increase efficiency was also acknowledged.
Observer Ethical Award
The Observer Ethical award, which we won in 2008, 2009 and 2012, has been instrumental in progressing ethical thinking and ideas in the UK. The aim is to reward those pioneering a sustainable future for the country and to recognize the very best products, innovations and schemes that make living ethically achievable.
CBI Growing Business Award
At The Growing Business Awards 2009 the company was named Green Business of the Year. We managed to beat stiff competition from E-Stack, Good Energy, pall-Ex and Wiles Green world through our hard work, determination and continued commitment to being an environmentally and energy efficient friendly business.
BCE Environmental Leadership Award
The BCE Environmental Leadership Awards are some of the most prestigious environmental awards in the UK. Minister of state, Pat McFadden, presented the 2008 award to Warren in recognition of the company’s recent workshop move, and especially the new bio-mass boiler that heats the building using waste wood as fuel. It was great to have our investment in eco-aware production recognized.
The Manufacturers Award
The Manufacturer of the Year Awards competition is specifically designed to acknowledge and celebrate the strength and diversity of UK manufacturing. The awards aim to spread best practice, inspire others and show the important role UK manufacturing plays in today's economy. We picked up the award in 2008 and for that we are very proud.
The Guild of Master Craftsmen
For over 30 years the Guild of Master Craftsmen has represented many different trades and professions, promoting and supporting excellence. To the trade and public alike, the guild’s emblem and coat of arms represent skill, integrity, quality and service – in all professionalism.
Green 500 Companies
To continue in our quest to become Britain’s pre-eminent bed specialist and display our desire for ethical actions and sustainable products, we have joined the Green500, London’s premier carbon club. By signing up to the pioneering carbon management scheme, which assesses the company’s carbon emissions, we can take the necessary measures to improve our energy efficiency and tackle climate change.
